| POCO is a social paddling club. We plan fun events where you can hook up with other boaters in the area. Some of these events are:

How much does it cost? |
When you join POCO you can also join the ACA at a deep discount. POCO has affiliated
itself with the American Canoe Association as a Paddle America Club. All ACA members are covered by their event insurance at all of our events. Non-ACA members will have to pay an additional $10 per event to participate. As a result, we recommend that you join both POCO and ACA at the same time. This offers the benefits of both your local paddlers organization and an additional set of benefits from a national-level organization.
POCO dues: $10/single, $15/double
ACA dues: $20/single, $25/family (normally $30/single, $45/family)
POCO + ACA combined: $30/single, $40/family (That's a bargain!)

Benefits of ACA Membership
The
goal of the Paddle America Club (PAC) program is simple: to
foster local, regional and national cooperation for the
betterment of paddling in America through a reciprocal
membership arrangement between the club and the ACA.
The
Paddle America program offers your club and its individual
members a significant number of benefits. Besides the
discounted ACA membership fees other POCO/ACA/PAC benefits
include:
- Six issues of Paddler magazine - a $24
newsstand value. Paddler is an action packed, full color
magazine featuring articles on exotic and close-to-home
paddling adventures and cutting-edge paddling information.
- Four
issues of the American Canoeist
Online, ACA's own newsletter.
- Access
to hundreds of ACA sanctioned paddling events
- trips, races, clinics and much, much more.
- Valuable
member-only discounts on paddling
equipment, outdoor gear, books and other services. These
discounts can save you hundreds of dollars through special
discounts available only to ACA members.
- Discounts
on OS Systems paddling products -
drysuits, drytops, paddling apparel and thermal wear.
- General
Liability Insurance
ACA's general liability insurance protects clubs and
volunteers from liability claims and lawsuits. Your club is
insured for all directly supervised club activities at no
additional charge if all active club members participate in
the program. To participate in the program, all active club
members (those who participate in more than two paddling
activities per year) must be an ACA members.
